Lifted Truck Tires & Wheels in Denver, CO

Expert fitment for leveled, lifted & built trucks — from mild to wild

Denver's Lifted Truck Tire & Wheel Specialists

A lift kit opens up a world of larger tire and wheel options, but choosing the right combination isn't as simple as "bigger is better." Tire diameter, wheel width, offset, backspacing, and your specific lift height all need to work together — otherwise you get rubbing, vibration, premature wear, or worse.

Platinum Wheels and Tires has fitted thousands of lifted trucks in Denver. Whether you're running a 2" leveling kit on a daily-driven F-150 or a 6" suspension lift on a trail-ready Super Duty, we'll match the right wheels and tires to your exact setup.

Tire Sizing Guide by Lift Height

This chart shows common tire sizes that fit each lift height. Actual fitment varies by make, model, cab length, and wheel offset. We verify every combination before installation.

Leveling Kit (1.5" – 2.5")

  • Stock to 33" tires on most half-ton trucks
  • 285/70R17 (32.7") is the most popular level + tire combo
  • Some trucks can clear 285/75R17 (33.8") with minor trimming
  • Maintains factory ride quality with improved stance

Mid Lift (3" – 4")

  • 33" to 35" tires fit comfortably
  • 315/70R17 (34.4") is a common choice at this height
  • 35x12.50R17 fits most trucks without rubbing issues
  • May require minor fender trimming on some models

Full Lift (5" – 6")

  • 35" to 37" tires with proper wheel offset
  • 37x12.50R17 clears on most full-size trucks at 6"
  • Wider wheels (9" to 10") improve sidewall profile
  • Consider regearing for highway drivability with 37s

Extreme Lift (8" – 12"+)

  • 37" to 40"+ tires for show trucks and rock crawlers
  • Requires extensive modification (fender trimming, bump stops, drive shaft)
  • Regearing is mandatory for safe highway driving
  • TPMS recalibration and speedometer correction included

Popular Lifted Truck Platforms We Fit

Ford F-150 / F-250 / F-350

From leveled F-150s on 33s to Super Duty builds on 37s, we know Ford's bolt patterns (6x135, 8x170), hub bores, and the nuances of IFS vs. solid-axle clearance for every generation.

Ram 1500 / 2500 / 3500

Ram's 5x5.5 (1500) and 8x6.5 (HD) bolt patterns have specific offset requirements to avoid caliper interference. We stock wheels that are verified for Ram's unique hub geometry.

Chevrolet Silverado / GMC Sierra

GM's 6x5.5 bolt pattern trucks are among the most commonly lifted. We handle everything from a simple level + 33 to a full 6" BDS lift with 35s and 20x10 wheels.

Toyota Tacoma / Tundra / 4Runner

Toyota's 6x5.5 bolt pattern trucks and SUVs are huge in the overlanding community. We fit ARB, Icon, and other premium lift setups with properly matched wheels and tires.

What Happens After a Lift: Critical Fitment Details

Wheel Offset & Backspacing

Lifting a truck changes the suspension geometry, and the stock wheel offset may no longer be ideal. Going to a more negative offset (pushing wheels outward) improves the look and stability of a lifted truck, but too much poke causes accelerated bearing wear and throws mud onto the body. We calculate the correct offset for your specific lift and tire size.

Speedometer & TPMS Recalibration

Larger tires change your speedometer reading and TPMS thresholds. A 35" tire on a truck calibrated for 31.5" stock tires will read about 10% slow. We provide speedometer correction guidance and recalibrate TPMS sensors to your new tire size so your dash stays clean and your readings stay accurate.

Regearing Considerations

Trucks running 35" or larger tires often feel sluggish without a gear change. Moving from a stock 3.73 to a 4.56 or 4.88 ratio restores acceleration and highway RPMs to factory-like behavior. We can advise on gearing and refer you to trusted local shops for the install.

Alignment After Lift

Lifts change your caster, camber, and toe angles. An alignment after any lift installation is mandatory — not optional. Skipping it leads to rapid, uneven tire wear that can destroy a $2,000 set of tires in under 10,000 miles. We include a free alignment inspection with every lifted truck build.

Lift Kits & Leveling Kits Available

Leveling Kits

A leveling kit raises the front of your truck to match the rear, giving you a level stance and room for slightly larger tires. It's the most affordable and least invasive way to improve your truck's look and off-road clearance.

Suspension Lift Kits

Full suspension lifts (3" to 12") replace shocks, springs, and control arms for significant height gain. We install kits from Rough Country, BDS, Fox, Icon, and others. Every lift includes a professional alignment and a consultation on the right tire and wheel combination for your new ride height.
